FRISCO, TX—On November 6, the Dallas Cowboys announced on their NFL team webpage, that one of their newest rookie star players, Marshawn Kneeland has died at 24. According to a press release by the Frisco Police Department, they were called to assist in a pursuit that ended in a crash in the southbound lane of the Dallas Freeway near Warren.

The suspect, later identified as Marshawn Kneeland, of Plano, TX, fled the scene on foot. Police officers launched a search with assistance of drones and the K-9 team. Kneeland’s body was discovered on November 6, at approximately 1:39 a.m. He had died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
