A longtime Nike manager on Wednesday filed a federal lawsuit against the company alleging discrimination and retaliation.
Patricia Coleman worked for the company for 25 years, rising to the position of senior director of stores.
In her lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Oregon, she alleges age, gender and disability discrimination, and says Nike terminated her in February 2024, when she was 61, rather than include her in a subsequent mass layoff that would have provided her severance.
Nike, which rarely comments on litigation, declined comment. The company has repeatedly said it has no tolerance for discrimination.
