COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio's season continues with their take on Jen Silverman's "The Roommate."
A two-hander, "The Roommate" was first staged in 2015 before gaining prominence in 2024 with a Broadway debut that saw acting icons Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone in the spotlight.
A dark comedy all about reinvention, "The Roommate" sees the recently-divorced Sharon invite a stranger into her Iowa home to become her new roommate. The new roommate Robyn is relocating from New York City in hopes of leaving her past behind. As the two find each other, their odd-couple friendship forces them both to evolve in unexpected ways.
