The new West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) is big, bright and will be open to the public on Nov. 24.

“Our staff cannot wait to get in here and work in this building,” said hospital site director Catherine Duffin.

She escorted Niagara This Week on a tour of the $224-million, 17,850-square-metre hospital Wednesday morning as construction crews added finishing touches to the Grimsby building and staff were getting acquainted with and being trained in their new workplace.

Located behind the current hospital on Main Street East, the new four-storey facility operated by hospital operator Hamilton Health Sciences was built to serve west Niagara’s growing population.
