Fans of Michael Jackson are getting a sneak peek at the singer’s long-awaited biopic with the first teaser trailer for Michael released Thursday.

The one-minute-and-12-second clip begins with the sound of producer Quincy Jones ‘ voice, as played by Kendrick Sampson in the movie, saying: “I know you’ve been waiting a long time for this.”

The set up is in the studio while Jackson and Jones are making Jackson’s juggernaut album 1982’s Thriller – one of the best-selling discs of all time.

The movie is out in theatres on April 24, 2026, and starring as The King of Pop will be MJ’s real-life nephew Jaafar Jackson.

Other castmates include Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller and Colman Domingo.
