RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Just two days after Abigail Spanberger became Virginia’s Governor-elect, the transition between her administration and Governor Glenn Youngkin’s is in full swing.

“It’s gonna to be an adventurous few weeks as we head towards January, but I think we’re off to a fantastic start,” Spanberger told reporters on Thursday.

Spanberger and Youngkin met for lunch at the Executive Mansion on Thursday with their spouses.

“Our administration is fully standing by to support in any aspect necessary to make sure that the transition goes extremely smoothly and that Governor-elect Spanberger is ready on Day One to do the job of the people,” Youngkin said.
