The Dodgers on Thursday exercised their 2026 club option for pitcher Alex Vesia, which will pay the left-handed relief pitcher $3.65 million next season.

Vesia last January first exchanged salary figures with the Dodgers, but then avoided an arbitration hearing with a two-year contract that paid him $2.25 million in 2025. The initial base salary for Vesia’s 2026 option was $3.55 million, but by pitching in 68 games he added $50,000 to the option salary for each of 60 and 65 games pitched.

“Every side’s got different opinions and whatnot, but at the end of the day we were able to come up with an agreement that was mutually agreed upon, and that was nice.
