The annual Wee Fit Turkey Trot is back for its third year, giving Abilene residents a fun and active way to start Thanksgiving morning.

The event will take place at Brown’s Park at 9 a.m. and includes a 5K fun run, a two-mile walk, and a kids’ fun dash.

Registration is $35, which includes a sweatshirt, a goodie bag, and post-race drinks and treats.

Wee Fit Gym and Activity Center is a kids gym offersing large youth indoor play areas catering to children aged 0-10. The area is complete with climbing equipment, baby friendly exploration and sensory stations.

Wee Fit Gym opened in August 2023.

Participants can sign up through the Wee Fit Gym Facebook page or by visiting the gym at 505 NW Third in Abilene between 9 and 11 a.m.
