It is minutes before kickoff for Thursday Night Football against the hated Raiders, and the Broncos will have 60 minutes to prove they actually can handle Special Teams assignments as designed.
Voters were split evenly on whether the problems are rooted more in coaching or player execution, so the likely best answer would be “both.”
Darren Rizzi could do a better job teaching his players their assignments, and players could do a better job making it happen. Despite Sean Payton’s public defense of his personally chosen coordinator, you can bet he had some private conversations about getting their sh*t together as the season moves into the tougher part of the schedule.
Although the Broncos should be able to beat the Raiders even with a few mistakes, there is no reason to take that chance
