Ketchum voters decided to stick with their current council-mayor system of government instead of adopting a proposal that would have replaced it with a council-manager structure.

Of the voters who weighed in on the ballot measure in the fall election, 60.22%, or 1,008 voters, voted against it. Those in favor cast 666 votes, or 39.78% of the total vote.

The key difference between the council-manager style of government and the council-mayor system is who is acting CEO of city government.

On Tuesday, Pete Prekeges won the Ketchum mayor's race and, with no change in government structure, will be acting head of the city.
