The city of Clermont is striking up the band and preparing for extensive Veterans Day celebrations as the Central Florida town gears up for the event .

The Annual Veterans Day Parade and Tribute Ceremony will take place throughout much of the day Saturday in Clermont, three days ahead of Tuesday’s formal Veterans Day holiday. The multi-hour event will take place at the Highlander Building & Pavilion, 330 Third St. in Clermont.

Multiple veterans’ organizations, along with Clermont Main Street businesses, are helping to host the event for veterans and their families. The event begins at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, with a parade that marches down Montrose Street into downtown Orlando, just west of the city.
