The developer building a new live/work district along Dorchester Avenue in South Boston has filed plans to add bouldering and indoor soccer to one of the remaining industrial buildings, in which it already has a tenant to provide year-round pickleball.
Bouldering? It's like indoor rock climbing, only with massive boulders instead of rocks, and no ropes or harnesses - unlike at the existing Rock Spot Climbing a couple blocks away on Old Colony Avenue.
Trademark, which plans to spend the next 10 to 15 years building out its 21-acre On the Dot development from Andrew Square north, recently filed plans for the unused, non-pickleball space in a former industrial building on Alger Street, off Dorchester Avenue.
