SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Fall temperatures have arrived and, while temperatures are comfortable, Georgia Power is encouraging customers to take proactive steps now to increase their home’s energy efficiency and be ready for cold weather in the coming months.

In a press release WTOC just received, GA Power says since heating can account for up to 50% of a typical home’s energy use during the colder months, even small changes can lead to significant savings.

The release states “Georgia Power works every day to deliver reliable and affordable service and, in fact, the company’s rates have remained 15% below the national average, on average, since 1990.”
