BEATRICE, Neb. (KOLN) - There is a huge amount of progress being made when it comes to developing additional housing units in Beatrice, and there’s a high demand for that housing.

Dakota Hurley is the Community Affairs Coordinator with NGage. NGage is a community economic development group for Beatrice and Gage County.

Hurley says in the next few years, the area will see another 230 units of either single family dwellings or apartments. Some of these units are going to be built on former elementary school sites are being developed after the old buildings were taken down when Beatrice built a new elementary school.
