Proposition 409: $900M Valleywise Health measure wins, supporters say

Supporters of Maricopa County's Proposition 409 declared victory on Nov. 7, three days after the election.

The election results have stayed close as ballots have been counted but "yes" votes never trailed on the ballot question that asked residents to finance nearly $900 million in improvements to the county's public health system, known as Valleywise Health.
