CHARMCO, WV (WVNS) - The Greenbrier West High School Chapter for the National Honor Society is giving back to their community in a very big way. The students took the frontload of a project to help the homeless population in Greenbrier County. They are packing care packages for the homeless as the temperature begins to drop. The students saw the lack of resources for the unhoused and wanted to lend a hand.
Some students even have a personal connection due to tragedy and say you never know someone's whole story.
"The problems that we noticed was the homeless population, unfortunately, is only increasing. And with the changing weather we wanted to make being in the elements easier for them personally," said National Honor Society Vice President, Lena Adkins.
