SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - A Memphis man will serve 20 years in prison for stealing $100,000-worth of firearms and jewelry across state lines in Southaven.
The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office reports that Guyland Key, now 24, has been convicted of his indicted charges of grand larceny and burglary of a non-dwelling.
The original indictment also charged Key with weapons trafficking and conspiracy.
Key will serve 20 years at the Mississippi Department of Corrections for the larceny charge, plus serve an additional seven years of probation for the burglary charge.
Thieves were caught on surveillance video ransacking the Guns & Fine Jewelry in Southaven on March 10, 2023.
