JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng filed a temporary restraining order against Jefferson Parish firefighter Stephen Orkus Jr on Nov. 7.

This filing comes after a heated exchange between the two at the Jefferson Parish Council meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 5. The parish and firefighters have been at odds regarding firefighter pay.

"The aggressive behavior has been building for months in many different ways, but comments made at this week's council meeting about knowing where I go and having eyes and ears on me crossed the line," Lee Sheng said in a statement.
