EAGLE PASS, Texas — The Eagle Pass Police Department have made an arrest after two men opened fire in a mall parking lot Friday, according to a press release.
Around 3 p.m., police were called to an alleged shooting at the Mall De Las Aguilas parking lot. That area was eventually secured by officials.
Two men involved in the incident were found and attended to as they both had gunshot wounds, according to police.
Both men were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One of the men, an off-duty DPS trooper, was taken to a medical facility in San Antonio for more treatment.
The second man, identified as 34-year-old Ivan Rodriguez, was released from the emergency room and was arrested after being identified as the offender in the shooting.
