Ahead of Veterans Day, some local vets were treated to a special dinner this Friday evening.

Every year, the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 in Wesleyville hosts its Veterans Day buffet to thank the service members for their sacrifice.

The buffet-style dinner is free for all vets, and this year, almost 500 dinners were served.

Veterans at the dinner also received handwritten letters from students at Mother Theresa Academy, thanking them for their service.
