HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Class AA No. 3 Independence Patriots closed out their regular season with a dominant 56-6 victory over the Summers County Bobcats on Friday night.

The Patriots controlled the game from the opening kickoff, showcasing a powerful offense and a disciplined defense. However, the game was called early following an injury to a Summers County player. The extent of the player’s injury was not immediately known.

With the win, Independence improved to 9-1, solidifying its standing among Class AA’s top teams heading into the postseason. Summers County wrapped up a difficult season at 0-10.
