Two Infiltrators Killed as Army Thwarts Infiltration Attempt in Kupwara’s Keran Sector

Kupwara, Nov 8, KNT: Indian Army on Friday night foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, neutralizing two infiltrators during the exchange of fire. Defence sources told news agency KNT that suspicious movement was noticed by troops of 21 Grenadiers near the forward defended location (FDL) Pimple. The soldiers opened fire after detecting the movement close to the LoC, triggering a brief exchange of small arms fire. During the encounter, security forces neutralized two infiltrators. However, their bodies have not been recovered yet, reportedly lying on the other side of the LoC.
