Coventry Live readers have reacted as work gets underway on a major £450 million regeneration project in Coventry . The City Centre South scheme, led by Coventry City Council and the Hill Group, will deliver around 1,500 new homes.
Demolition has started, with Barracks Car Park and City Arcade cleared, and Hertford House currently being levelled. The plan will create roughly 1,575 homes across 18 buildings on the 17-acre site, with completion expected around 2034.
Speaking to CoventryLive, Mr Bale said: "There aren’t many homes in the city at the moment, but combining residential with retail on the ground floor creates a vibrant community where people can live, work, and enjoy the city."
