Chace Webster's record-setting season for Olympic's football team will continue into the first round of the Class 2A state tournament.
Webster rushed for 331 yards and four touchdowns in the Trojans' 27-14 over visiting Chief Sealth in the Round of 32 playoff round Friday, Nov. 7. The senior set a new West Sound record with 37 rushing touchdowns in a season and became only the second West Sound rusher to eclipse 2,000 yards in a single campaign. South Kitsap's Ryan Cole accomplished that feat in 2000 and 2001.
With 2,259 yards, Webster has a chance to break Cole's record of 2,401 when the Trojans play next week in the state tournament. Olympic (9-1) will find out its matchup Sunday after state seeding committees meet to finalize brackets.
