Hawaii looked like a team getting chased in the Big West women’s volleyball standings instead of one doing the chasing.
Freshman Cha’lei Reid recorded her fifth double-double of the season with a match-high 14 kills and 10 digs and the Rainbow Wahine needed only 89 minutes to sweep Cal State Northridge 25-11, 25-15, 25-15 on Friday night at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
A crowd of 3,590 saw Hawaii, five weeks after getting swept in Northridge, Calif., return the favor in impressive fashion, winning all three sets by double digits.
