Top-seeded Bordentown defeated eighth-seeded Allentown 1-0 on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 2 playoffs in Bordentown. Bordentown won 5-4 on penalty kicks with Christian Matamoros scoring the decisive penalty kick.
Bordentown’s other shootout goals came from Tyler Kunkel, Marco Carlini, Cole Rosina and Everett Barrett.
Liam Mellor recorded 10 saves in net for Bordentown.
Bordentown (17-4) will host fourth-seeded Robbinsville in the semifinals on Tuesday at a time to be announced.
Allentown fell to 13-9 on the season.
