Palakkad: Following the amputation of a 9-year-old girl’s right hand due to alleged medical negligence at the Palakkad District Hospital, the Town South Police have registered a case against the doctors involved.

The case was registered under Section 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which pertains to causing grievous hurt by rash or negligent acts.
