A 37-year-old man was fatally wounded Friday night in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 10 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 8800 block of South Lowe Avenue and found the victim inside a vehicle with two gunshot wounds to the chest, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim may have be shot by multiple gunmen who fled the scene on foot, police said.
No one was in custody and detectives were investigating.
