TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Airports across the country are feeling the strain after Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced 40 major markets would see flights reduced by up to 10%.

Tampa International Airport made the list of airports seeing reductions, which began on Friday with a 4% reduction. Duffy said the reductions will gradually increase to 10% by next Friday, and said there's a chance it could go up to 20% if the shutdown continues.

Unfortunately for anyone traveling out of TPA this weekend, the airport is already seeing nearly a quarter of flights get delayed or cancelled.
