HOUSTON - A woman is in a hospital and a man is in custody following a suspected road rage shooting in northwest Harris County, according to authorities.

Harris County crime: FM-529 shooting

What we know:

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez says the shooting happened near FM-529 and Glen Chase Drive , near Highway 6 North.

Harris County Det. John Calderon said deputies were called about the incident at about 8 a.m. on Saturday.

According to the detective, a vehicle with three people inside was going east on FM 529 when they were cut off by the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle allegedly stopped abruptly, causing the victim to slam on the brakes.
