Peloton is recalling roughly 833,000 Original Series Bike+ exercise bikes.
The company announced the recall Nov. 6, and is urging customers to stop riding the bikes immediately.
This recall comes after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reported that Peloton received three complaints of seat posts breaking and detaching from the bikes. Two people sustained injuries after falling when their seats gave way.
The recall affects Peloton Original Series Bike+ units bearing model number PL02 with serial numbers beginning with “T.” Owners can locate their serial number inside the front fork, behind the front fork, or behind the flywheel. The bikes cost approximately $2,495 each and were available from January 2020 through April 2025.
