ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Here are my five thoughts on the Buffalo Bills ’ game against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium:

1. Doing nothing at the NFL trade deadline Tuesday hardly precludes the Bills from doing something when it matters most: the postseason.

Then, again, it’s also fair to say doing something wouldn’t have guaranteed the Bills hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in February.

With a 6-2 record, the Bills are good. Maybe not good enough to be in first place in the AFC East. But they still could go the distance.
