Week 9: Lost to Vikings (27-24)

Since starting the season 4-1, Detroit has lost two of its last three games. The Lions' three losses this season are one more than they had all of last season (15-2 record).

Sunday will be the first of three straight games vs. NFC East opponents. Next week, the Lions visit Philadelphia, and on Nov. 23 they host the Giants.

Four of the Lions' next five games are against NFC East opponents (Week 14 vs. Dallas)

Although they are 5-3, this is the Lions' worst record through eight games since 2022 (started 2-6).

Detroit is 4-1 this season vs. opponents outside its own NFC North Division.

The Lions enjoyed their best regular season in franchise history last season, finishing 15-2.
