KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman has died after crashing into a cow in Kings County.
The California Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 4:15 a.m. Saturday on 11th and Kent avenues, south of Hanford.
When officers arrived, the woman and the cow were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the woman was driving south on 11th in her Toyota Camry when she collided with the cow.
The cow then went through the Camry's windshield, hitting and killing the woman.
Officers believe that by the time the woman saw the cow, it was too late to get out the way.
Drugs and or alcohol are suspected, but it's unknown if speed was a factor in the crash.
