OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - On Saturday, 300 high school voices continued preparation for their big moment on stage.

Students from 6 local high schools and 4 professional singers will lift their voices in the annual Omaha Symphony Choral Collaborative on Sunday.

“We are so excited to collaborate with our incredible high school vocal teachers and programs here in Nebraska and western Iowa,” said Liz Kendall Weisser, Education and Community Engagement team member with the Omaha Symphony. “We really do have an embarrassment of riches in our music education world here.”

The education program started about 25 years ago. Since August, performers at participating schools Bellevue West, Bennington, Creighton Prep, Blair, Plattsmouth and Fremont have been working with professionals on the musical pie
