CINCINNATI —
A spokesperson for Metro confirms that one of its buses was struck by gunfire on Saturday afternoon in North Fairmount.
The incident was reported just before 1 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Carll Street and Linden Street. Advertisement
Metro says that passengers were on board at the time of the shooting, although no one on the bus was reported to be struck.
Metro tells WLWT that the bus was not believed to be the intended target, and that the bus sustained gunfire as a result of unrelated individuals shooting at one another in the area.
The bus was traveling as part of Metro's Route 64, which links Westwood with downtown Cincinnati. Stops along the way are located in multiple other Cincinnati neighborhoods in-between the two neighborhoods, including North Fai
