SAN DIEGO — Any road win is a good win, even if you give up most of a 17-point second-half lead to get it.

The Idaho State men held a 60-43 lead over the University of San Diego with just over five minutes to play Friday night — and then let the Toreros close to within three before holding on for a 71-68 victory.

It's the second straight season ISU has beaten San Diego on its home floor, and gets the Bengals off to a 2-0 start to the campaign. The Toreros fall to 1-1.
