MILWAUKEE — It took two overtimes for Oostburg to walk away as D4 State Boys Soccer Champions Saturday, defeating Sturgeon Bay, 1-0 at Southeast Sales Powersports Stadium at Uihlein Soccer Park.

Cade Dirkse scored what would be the game winning goal with just 35 seconds left in the second overtime. Parker Meerdink was credited with the assist.

The match marked the third time ever that the D4 championship was decided in overtime. It was the first since 2021.

The Flying Dutchmen secured their first title since 1994 on a chilly day, where the feels like temperature was in the 30s.

Oostburg had 7 shots, while Sturgeon Bay finished with 10.
