CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) - A woman is dead after a single vehicle crash happened in Claiborne County just after midnight Saturday.

A preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that the crash, which involved a 2002 Toyota 4Runner, happened in the 1600 block of Forge River Road around 12:16 a.m.

Investigators believe the crash happened as the SUV was traveling east on Forge River Road and taking a right hand curve. At that point, the Toyota crossed the center line and left the roadway. The report said the SUV overturned and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as Katlin Shay Burger, 22, died as a result of the crash. No passengers were listed in the vehicle.
