Pope Leo XIV greeted the President of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, to the Vatican. Ramaphosa, joined by Ms Keneilwe Ramaphosa, met with the pontiff at the Apostolic Palace “to foster mutual understanding, facilitate cultural exchanges, and address matters of interest between the two entities,” the South African government wrote on its X profile.
