NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Evelyn and her husband were supposed to be on their way to Orlando Saturday afternoon. Instead, they’re standing in the middle of Newark Liberty International Airport — luggage in hand, surrounded by delays, uncertainty, and growing frustration.

“We arrived to the airport and we got an email saying that our flight was canceled. There are no flights today to go to Orlando,” Evelyn said.

Visiting from Argentina, the couple has been vacationing across the U.S., spending several days in New York before heading to Florida. Now, they’re stuck deciding whether to pay extra to reroute or wait until early Sunday morning for the next available flight.
