To generate revenue for Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), the Delhi government is planning to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure by establishing charging facilities for heavy commercial vehicles at nine depots across the city, officials said on Saturday.
The depots where commercial EV stations will be set up are located in Rohini’s Sector 37, Keshopur, Nangloi, Kalkaji, Sukhdev Vihar, Keshopur, Nand Nagri, Ghazipur and Hasanpur.
“The preliminary process to set up the charging stations has started. Initially, we plan to develop EV infrastructure at nine depots. Gradually, it will be expanded across all depots, wherever space is available,” said an official.
