The Boston Police Department announced yet another targeted takedown of illegally operated scooters and mopeds in the city.
“The initiative was organized in response to ongoing public safety concerns regarding the use of these vehicles, which have been linked to motor vehicle violations and, in some cases, violent crimes,” the department wrote in a statement.
This time officers seized nine mopeds in Hyde Park and issued a slew of citations and summonses for motor vehicle violations.
The department has been conducting targeted enforcement in different neighborhoods of the city and ask the public’s help to report illegal activity.
