IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - It was a thriller of a game that came down to the wire in Kinnick Stadium on Saturday night.
After giving up an early safety and trailing for most of the game, the Hawkeyes took a 1-point lead with a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. However, a game-winning field goal by the Ducks brought a heartbreaking end to a hard-fought game for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa Quarterback Mark Gronowski completed 10 of 18 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. Kamari Moulton added 87 yards on the ground.
The Hawkeye defense held Oregon to 18 points and 373 yards of total offense. They also picked off Oregon quarterback Dante Moore once.
After the loss, Iowa looks to their next game against USC. Kickoff is set for Saturday, November 15th at 2:30 PM.
