When heading to – or back from – Oliver and Osoyoos, I always take the Eastside Road. A winding road that skirts Skaha Lake, the vistas are breathtaking and the traffic is less hectic than Highway 97 across the lake. It also allows me to make a stop at The Apple Bin, a shipping container at the side of the road at OK Falls filled with seasonal produce.

Owned and maintained by brother and sister Glen and Debbie Hall, the third generation of the Hall farming family, it is a welcome pit stop for apples, pears, dried fruit and whatever else has been recently harvested throughout the year.
