Woman killed by officers after threatening court was shot 16 times, jury told

HELENA — The Helena woman shot and killed by law enforcement officers in March after threatening a judge and others with a gun at the county courthouse was shot 16 times by authorities. But the weapon she was carrying was not loaded at the time of the shooting, a jury was told Thursday at a coroner's inquest into her death.
