ST. PAUL — Concordia quarterback Jersey Selzler scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the game-winner with 32 seconds left, as the Cobbers beat Macalester 17-14 on Saturday in MIAC play.
Selzler's 2-yard carry polished off a four-play, 74-yard drive in the final minute. The drive was set up by an interception by Concordia's Kyle Mages, his fourth of the season, three plays after Macalester drove down to Concordia's 17-yard line.
Macalester threatened in the final seconds, reaching the Cobbers 35, but Concordia's Ethan Anderson and Mages broke up the final two pass attempts.
Selzler finished 9 of 16 with 147 yards passing, including a 63-yard connection with Alejandro Sanchez, and ran for two TDs. Mason Hughes led Concordia (6-3, 5-3 MIAC) with 148 yards on 26 carries. Sanchez
