YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - No. 22 Youngstown State mounted a second-half comeback to down No. 16 Southern Illinois, 48-38, at Stambaugh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Southern Illinois took a 24-14 lead at halftime until YSU scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to make it 35-24. The 'Guins scored 28 unanswered during that stretch.
The first YSU score in the third quarter came with two touchdown passes from Beau Brungard and a 40-yard rushing score from Jaden Gilbert.
The 'Guins' Beau Brungard scored six times in the win, four touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns. Brungard completed 26-of-35 passes for 345 yards with four TDs.
