GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A year after capturing a Division 4 state championship, the Manitowoc Lutheran volleyball team are on top of the mountain again - this time, in Division 3.
The Lancers defeated Luther Prep, 3-1, in Saturday’s state championship game. Junior outside hitter Ava Stuebs led the way with 21 kills.
“To start off the game I was definitely in my head a lot,” Stuebs said. “I didn’t really know what to do. but then once you get one swing it’s like ‘Okay, I got it back.’ It wasn’t just me. It was the whole team showing up in those big moments, getting the passes, the sets. Every part of it, it helped win the game.”
