Perry Hall senior goalkeeper Joyce Robinson kept the soccer season going when she stopped a penalty kick in overtime against Leonardtown in Saturday’s Class 4A state semifinal.

Shortly after, she stopped another to send the No. 12 Gators to next week’s championship game.

Despite controlling good chunks of the play, Perry Hall was unable to break through against the Raiders in the 80 minutes of regulation and 20 more of overtime.

In the deciding shootout, the penalty kick takers had the better of it through six rounds. After defender Eden Eberhardt made it seven straight successful takes for the Gators, Robinson got just enough of Taylor House’s attempt to keep it out.
